Aquidneck Village is redefining modern coastal living

Posted

A new chapter in coastal living continues to unfold on Rhode Island’s East Bay. Tucked just across from the prestigious Aquidneck Club in Portsmouth, Aquidneck Village is redefining modern coastal living with an intimate community of just 28 residences.

Each home has been carefully crafted by Union Studio Architecture and built by Harbor Construction, blending timeless New England architecture with modern functionality. Interiors, curated by Alex Interiors, bring a sophisticated, cohesive aesthetic—featuring open-concept layouts, high-end finishes, and private outdoor spaces designed for both relaxation and entertaining.

Homes at Aquidneck Village are designed with flexibility in mind. Each residence includes an oversized two-car garage with ample room for golf carts, bikes, beach gear, and seasonal storage. Buyers can personalize their home through a selection of three distinct architectural styles and three curated interior design palettes, along with optional upgrades such as finished bonus levels, three-level elevators, wet bars, and custom built-in cabinetry.

One of the most distinctive aspects of the community is its relationship with the neighboring Aquidneck Club. Homeowners have a prioritized opportunity to apply for membership, offering access to an array of resort-style amenities, including golf, tennis, a wellness spa, multiple dining venues, and a deep-water marina overlooking Narragansett Bay.

Demand within the community continues to build. Phase One is nearing completion with limited homes remaining, while Phase Two is now underway, presenting buyers with a new opportunity to secure their place in one of the East Bay’s most sought-after coastal communities.

Whether you're a downsizer seeking ease, a second-home buyer in search of a coastal retreat, or simply looking to simplify without compromising on design, Aquidneck Village offers a rare balance of lifestyle and location. Its low-maintenance design makes it especially appealing for seasonal homeowners seeking a turnkey coastal experience.

Prospective buyers are invited to experience the community firsthand during weekly open houses:

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
