The hours are increasing at Barrington Public Library soon.
Starting on Aug. 3, the library hours will expand to Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. (The library had previously been closed on Fridays, and did not offer evening hours on Tuesdays.)
There will also be other changes made at the library:
• The stacks on the main floor will be open for browsing;
• The teen room will open for browsing;
• The public computers will be open on first-come, first-serve basis with 60-minute sessions;
• The library capacity will increase to 35 people in the building;
• The Friends of the Library daily book sale will return to the main floor of the library.
