Barrington Education Foundation’s annual Giving Drive 2023 is underway.
Since its inception in 1992, Barrington Education Foundation has awarded more than $1 million in innovative grants, provided directly to Barrington schools. These grants have been made possible, largely, because of generous donations from the Barrington community.
Every school year, BEF looks to the people of Barrington for support to help keep Barrington Public Schools an extraordinary educational experience.
“Strong schools are the largest asset to any community and BEF prides itself on providing the ‘cherry on top’ of our district’s many accomplishments and initiatives,” stated a release from BEF.
The Barrington Education Foundation volunteer board has been busy working over the winter allocating SPARQ (Speed, Power, Agility, Reaction and Quickness) and traditional grants to all six schools in the Barrington district.
From piloting the newest technology to investing in social emotional programs and larger deeper learning projects, it is donations that make these things possible.
Recent programs and products afforded through BEF grants include the Dinosaur Rocks program at Primrose Hill School, Calming Corner Kits at Sowams School, interactive touch screen smart boards at Nayatt School and Barrington High School, Meta Moments materials at Hampden Meadows School, SD cards and headphones for the TV Studio classes at Barrington Middle School, 3D Virtual Town creative software at Barrington High School, and a sustainable community outdoor garden at Barrington Middle School.
To donate, people can go directly to the BEF website at www.barringtoneducation.org and contribute via PayPal for secure online credit card payments. Checks (payable to BEF) are also accepted by mail to the office at 283 County Road, Barrington, RI 02806. All donations are tax deductible.
