Registration will open to eligible residents this weekend

Posted

CVS and Walgreens will be offering vaccines via appointment.

Beginning Saturday, Feb. 6, CVS appointments will be available via www.cvs.com or through the CVS pharmacy app. If you do not have online access you can contact customer service at 800/746-7287.

Beginning Sunday, Feb. 7, Walgreens appointments can be made www.Walgreens.com/ScheduleVaccine or by calling retail pharmacies.

These vaccines are being provided to CVS and Walgreens from the federal government supply, and are in addition to those that will be provided to the town, channeled through the state.

For those already registered on a vaccine waitlist, your name will remain on the list. This is just another option for getting the vaccine as soon as possible. If you receive the vaccine at CVS or Walgreens, please call your local authority to be  removed from the list. For Rhode Island residents the vaccine is only being made available to those over age 75 at this time.
