EAST PROVIDENCE — The Planning Board, at its September 13 meeting, considered a preliminary plan submission authored by Dexter Road Associates LLC, owners of the old Getty Oil terminal on Massasoit Avenue and Dexter Road.

Specific to the most recent approach, Dexter Road Associates is seeking to make some minor cosmetic fixes to the property with a street address of 9 Dexter Road, in support of the abutting former service station that fronts the parcel at 230 Massasoit Ave.

The filling station is being converted by local restauranteurs Nick and Tracy Rabar, who are planning to house a new Southern-style eatery “Honeybird Kitchen and Cocktails.” The Rabars are owners of the successful “Avenue N” Restaurant at Rumford Center.

According to Director of Planning and Economic Development Bill Fazioli, Dexter Road Associates sought permission to perform some site grading and clean-up at 9 Dexter Road to augment the renovations at the 230 Massasoit Ave. portion.
