Harvest Fair in Middletown this weekend

Norman Bird Sanctuary hosts its Harvest Fair for two days this weekend. Families can expect to find pony rides, pumpkins painting, face painting, field games, a mud pit, train rides, a grease pole and more.

WHAT: Harvest Fair

WHEN: Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 3 and 4; 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

WHERE: Norman Bird Sanctuary, 583 Third Beach Road, Middletown

ADMISSION: $15 general admission, $10 ages 3-18, Free ages 3 and under

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far.
