Rhode Island General Assembly, House District 67 Question of the week

Posted

Question: What differentiates you from the other candidates and/or general assembly members?

Joseph DePasquale — Independent:

My 22 years of experience as an Independent public servant sets me apart. By consistently collaborating across party lines, I have delivered positive results in economic development, public safety, environmental protection, and public education. Navigating tough budget cycles taught me how to build lean, responsible fiscal plans. Having served as Council President, Councilman, and Chair of the Joint Finance Committee, I am fully prepared to bring this proven, nonpartisan discipline straight to our state budget process.

Nicole Jellinek — Democrat:

What sets me apart is the experience and leadership I bring to public service. For more than 25 years, I’ve been a clinical social worker, advocating for families and solving complex problems. I’ve also led a statewide coalition focused on protecting and advancing reproductive health care, bringing diverse voices together to advocate for policy change and legislative action in the State House. I’m a first-time candidate, but I’m not new to leadership, advocacy, or getting things done.
