Narragansett Bay, the veterans memorial in town, and quahoggers are just some of the images featured on a new deck of Barrington playing cards.

The Friends of the Barrington Public Library created the playing cards as a fund-raiser — the deck features 54 photographic images of Barrington’s iconic places and scenic views. The cards are now being sold at the Library’s circulation desk.

"Ideal for holiday giving or for other occasions throughout the year, the standard-sized deck, specially produced for the Friends, features color photographs of local favorites like Narragansett Bay and the beach, historic sites, boats and the harbor and favorite activities throughout the town," stated a press release from the Friends of Barrington Public Library.

"The cards are packaged in an attractive box showcasing Barrington Town Hall. It’s a gift idea that is certain to delight those who live here, grew up here or come to visit for a bit."

Each deck of cards costs $10, and all proceeds will benefit The Friends of the Barrington Public Library programs; the local nonprofit organization supports more than 80 percent of the library’s community programming.
