Barrington Police responded to Pine Cone Drive at about 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10, for an alleged assault.
Police said a resident had hired a landscaper to cut his grass. The resident’s neighbor had an ongoing problem with the landscaper, and had been complaining that the landscaper had been cutting over the property line onto his grass, police said.
On Thursday, the landscaper told police he was cutting the grass when the neighbor walked up behind him and punched him in the back of his head.
Police said the landscaper did not want to press charges.
