Barrington Police received a phone call on Thursday, July 14 at about 9:55 p.m. after someone spotted three people on the roof at Barrington Middle School. It appeared that one of the individuals was smoking a cigarette.
A second calling party told police that one of the individuals on the roof threw a piece of plastic piping at him.
Police responded, but by that time the three individuals had fled in a white vehicle. Police located the suspect vehicle and ordered it over to the side of the road.
Police spoke with the three occupants — three male 18-year-old Warren residents. The teenagers told police that their hobby was to climb buildings.
Police decided to issue the teenagers no trespassing orders, but did not charge them.
