Tiverton police: Pair charged with drug offenses after traffic stop

Monday, Jan. 10

Police responded to a burglar alarm on Mainsail Drive at 11:12 a.m. The house was secure.

Police looked for but could not locate an erratic driver on Bulgarmarsh Road just after 4 p.m.

Lori A. Samos, 57, of 40 Carl Drive, Tiverton, was charged wtih domestic simple assault and/or battery and domestic disorderly conduct.

Tuesday, Jan. 11

A Mary Lane woman reported receiving harassment/threats.

Wednesday, Jan. 12

A caller from Nanquaket Road reported harassment/threats. A similar call came in a few hours later from Louise Drive.

Police responded to a disturbance at the Stafford Road Apartments at 4:20 p.m., after receiving a 911 call.

Police responded to a disturbance on Kitchener Street at 4:24 p.m.

Two people were charged after police pulled a car over on Main Road just before 10 p.m. Daniel DeSousa, 45, of 306 Harrison St., Apt. 1, Fall River, and Dennis Garcia, 54, of 738 King Philip St., Apt. 3, Fall River, were each charged with possession of a controlled substance, 10 grams or less.

Bryan D. Perez, 18, of 493 Peckham St., Apt. 2, Fall River, was charged with possession of more than one ounce of marijuana after police pulled him over on Fish Road at 10:16 p.m.

Thursday, Jan. 13

Police received a noise complaint from Bulgarmarsh Road at 12:29 p.m., but determined there was no infraction.

Police were called to Fairfield Avenue at 12:58 p.m. for a neighborhood dispute.

Mathew D. Chase, 34, of 224 Christopher Ave., Tiverton, was pulled over on Stafford Road at 7:13 p.m. and charged with carrying a pistol or revolver without a license or permit. He was also cited for driving with a suspended, revoked or cancelled license, second offense.

A walk-in from Teaberry Lane reported fraud.

Friday, Jan. 14

A hunting complaint came in from Fogland Road at 10:24 a.m. Police looked for but could not locate hunters.

Scott M. Rebello, 59, of 109 Fairfield Ave., Tiverton, was arrested on larceny under $1,500, and on two counts of violation of a no contact order, third or subsequent offense.

Saturday, Jan. 15

A caller from Main Road reported larceny. A similar call came in from a different Main Road address several hours later.

Sunday, Jan. 16

Brendan Thomas Hoey, 20, of 259 Tickle Road, Apt. C, Westport, was charged with domestic vandalism, domestic disorderly conduct and obstructing an officer.

William E. Robinson Jr., 64, of 9 West St., Newport, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, after police were asked to check on the condition of a driver at a Main Road car wash just after 4:30 p.m.

Monday, Jan. 17

Harold Hooper, 27, of 121 Wood Ave., Woonsocket, was arrested on a bench warrant from Second Division District Court.
