The Barrington High School varsity and JV field hockey teams celebrated wins against North Kingstown on Tuesday night, Oct. 6. The teams also celebrated their teammate Nora Kelly for her resilience through pediatric cancer with a “Play4theCure” game. Nora returned to playing a full schedule this season.

In the varsity game, the Eagles outscored the Skippers 4-0. Seven different Barrington players tallied points in the win — Lucy LoVerme, Abby Griffin, Shelby Gasbarro and Addy McCarty each scored goals for the Eagles, while McCarty also tallied an assist. Other BHS players to assist on goals were Clare Capozza, Daisy Moscrop and Emma LoVerme.

In the JV game, Barrington shut out North Kingstown 3-0. Skyler LoVerme scored two goals to lead the charge, while Molly O’Connell scored one goal and assisted on two others. Maggie Porter also had an assist. Barrington’s Amelie Bruneau and Sabrina Pickford each played well on defense in the victory.
