The Warren Police Department arrested one of its own Wednesday, when a patrol officer was charged with cyberstalking and cyberharassing a 44-year-old Warren woman.
Patrolman Randy Bryant was arrested at about 4:30 p.m. after being called to the station. According to an arrest narrative released by the Warren Police Department, Lt. Roy Borges advised Officer Bryant that he was being placed on administrative leave pending the results of an ongoing criminal and internal affairs division, and that he was being charged with one count of misdemeanor domestic cyberharassment.
Officer Bryant, who did not make a statement at the time of his arrest, was arraigned before Warren Bail Commissioner Jay Rego. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance and was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Sixth Division District Court on Friday, May 19.
