Question: What do you love most about Barrington and why?
Adam Stearnbourne — Democrat:
We moved to Barrington for the schools, but what I love most is the people. This community has welcomed our family with open arms. It’s wonderful to see our daughter make so many new friends, and for us, as her parents, to form meaningful connections with our neighbors. I want every family in our schools to feel that same welcome.
Sarah Whiting — Democrat:
I love Barrington’s access to nature, small-town feel, and the people who make it what it is. I’m interested in the different stories and perspectives people bring, and how we show up for each other. I keep thinking about Angela Duckworth’s Situated, which explores how people and places shape us. Raising our son here, I appreciate that education happens across a whole community in what we teach, what we model, and how we treat one another.
