Celebrate Halloween on the Farm!

Posted

Good Witch Emma Connors from Bedford, New Hampshire, a Youth Education Coordinator with TerraCorps, does a little tidying up at the almost-300 year old Coggeshell homestead in preparation for this weekend’s Halloween festivities.

Kids will experience the farm all decked out with spooky decor, themed trick-or-treat stations, pumpkin bowling, and a pumpkin craft. Join the sheep and become a detective to solve the mystery of the missing hen, and play a life-sized Halloween-themed Candy World game. The Great Baldini will surprise crowds with his spooky magic program that will be going on throughout the night.

Guests are welcome to come in their own costumes to join in on the fun and show off some Halloween spirit (this is a family event, so please don’t wear anything too scary).

Pre-registration is highly recommended for this event due to limited space. Tickets are $20 Adult / $15 Youth (4-17); $17 Member Adult / $12 Member Youth (4-17). For more information visit coggeshallfarm.org.

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
