The Barrington Pop Warner 12U football team came out firing on all cylinders against Fairhaven earlier this month.
The Eagles opened the game with an impressive offensive drive. After a 60-yard touchdown run by JJ Eaton was called back, the Eagles turned to the passing game. Barrington quarterback Gabe Landry connected with wide receiver Lochlan Greene for a 50-yard touchdown strike to cap off the opening drive. Landry then found Eaton in the end zone for the successful extra point, giving the Eagles an early 7–0 lead.
Both defenses traded stops throughout the first quarter before the Fairhaven Blue Devils finally found the end zone in the second quarter, cutting the lead to 7–6. However, the Eagles’ defense rose to the challenge, delivering one of its strongest performances of the season and limiting Fairhaven to just one touchdown all game. Eaton led the way in tackles, while Julian Vital, Rowan Perry, Mason Stone, Sebastian Rosow, Matthew DiOrio, Rehan Patel, and Francis Lucas III all contributed key defensive stops.
The Eagles responded immediately following the Blue Devils’ score, as Eaton returned the ensuing kickoff for a touchdown. The spectacular return was made possible by outstanding blocking from the entire kickoff return team, highlighted by two key blocks from Rehan Patel and Owen Jordan. The Eagles carried a 13–7 lead into halftime.
The second half belonged to the Eagles’ defense, which continued to disrupt the Fairhaven offense at every turn. Patel, Vital, and Stone were particularly impactful, recording sacks and tackles for loss that consistently put the Blue Devils behind the chains.
On the offensive side, the Eagles’ line played a crucial role in securing the victory. Francis Lucas III, George Hanratty, Patel, Cecilia Larivee, Ryker Jackson-Moran, and tight end Vital delivered excellent blocking throughout the game, giving Landry the protection he needed to lead the offense through the air.
Landry finished the day with two touchdown passes, both to Greene. After their 50-yard connection in the opening drive, the duo struck again in the fourth quarter with a 30-yard touchdown pass to put the game away. Greene delivered a career performance, hauling in four catches for 100 yards and two touchdowns.
Taj Paup also made valuable contributions, playing both quarterback and wide receiver. He capped off an impressive play with a beautiful pass on the run to Landry in the end zone for an extra point. Eaton, Stone, and Perry also helped fuel the offense with several big runs and catches.
With a dominant defensive effort, explosive special teams play, and a balanced offensive attack, the Eagles secured an impressive 20–6 victory over the Fairhaven Blue Devils. It was a complete team performance, with players across all three phases stepping up to deliver a hard-fought win.
13U game

Cooper Buteau hauled in a short pass and took it 62 yards for the Eagles’ second touchdown helping to put the team in a competitive game to end the first half 20-14.
The Warriors came out strong in the second half putting up two consecutive scores taking a 34-14 lead. In the fourth quarter Hyams connected with Chase Concoran for another long touchdown pass, hitting him in stride on a deep pass for a 46-yard touchdown. The Warriors defense though would then shut the Eagles down for the remainder of the game.
