Terrence Madden, 59, was taken into custody a lengthy investigation by EPPD detectives into a string of residential burglaries in the neighborhoods abutting the East Bay Bike Path, running south from the start of Bullocks Point Avenue to its intersection with Crescent View Avenue and just into "The Terrace" neighborhood. East to west, the area runs into "The Maze" across to Pawtucket Avenue/Main Street as well as Booth Avenue.

After his arrest, Madden admitted to detectives that he committed seven burglaries in December 2023. The department credits the diligent work of detectives, as well as citizens and law enforcement partners that assisted detectives with the identification and arrest.

Madden was arraigned on the following charges:

  • Breaking & Entering Dwelling House w/o
  • Consent (3 counts)
  • Burglary (3 counts)
  • Attempted Breaking and Entering (2 counts)
