Forgery, disorderly conduct charges top Portsmouth Police log

PORTSMOUTH — Here are some recent arrests made by the Portsmouth Police Department:

Wednesday, June 5

Robin Lynn Kimball, 51, of 28 Sprague Court, was arrested on a bench warrant that had been issued by 2nd Division District Court. Officers who had knowledge of the warrant spotted Kimball walking along Sprague Street shortly before 8 a.m., according to police. She was transported to court.

Thursday, June 6

Angelo Marcio Cardoso, 42, of 129 Lawrence St., Apt. D, Middletown, was charged with forgery and counterfeiting of registration plates, and giving a false document to an agent or public official. Officers stopped her vehicle on West Main Road at about 9:30 a.m. after noticing a registration plate was missing. Officers determined the registration plates and documents for the vehicle were counterfeit, police said.

Friday, June 7

Troy L. James, 53 Wellesley Ave., North Providence, was charged with driving after his license had been denied, suspended or revoked for a violation. James was pulled over on Anthony Road at the Montaup Country Club at about 8:10 p.m. because he was not wearing a seatbelt, according to police.

Saturday, June 8

Gary J. Shaker, 69, of 123 Luther Ave., Somerset, was charged with driving under the influence, first offense, after he was stopped on Boyd’s Lane at the Route 24 North on-ramp around 1 a.m. Police said Shaker failed to use a turn signal and committed a turning violation while riding his motorcycle, which wobbled side and side and nearly fell over. Shaker was also cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test police said.

Ryan Kilby, 38, of Portsmouth, was charged with disorderly conduct (fighting/tumultuous behavior), at about 1:15 p.m. Officers made the arrest after responding to a Cedar Avenue home to investigate reports of a man yelling threats at the owners of the residence, police said. Officers determined that Kilby had been causing a disturbance to multiple residents over several days, telling at homeowners in Island Park as well as going onto private properties without permission, according to police.
