Free waterfront concert series welcomes James Montgomery

Renowned blues harmonica player James Montgomery is set to make a triumphant return to Newport’s King Park Gazebo on Friday, June 28, from 5 to 7 p.m. Presented by the Friends Of The Waterfront, this eagerly anticipated performance promises an evening of electrifying blues music against the scenic backdrop of Newport Harbor.

James Montgomery, celebrated for his soulful harmonica skills and dynamic stage presence, will be accompanied by his exceptional band of seasoned touring musicians, The James Montgomery Band. With decades of experience and a passion for the blues that resonates through every note, Montgomery has solidified his place as a legendary figure in American music.

The concert at King Park Gazebo is open to the public, with attendees encouraged to bring blankets or chairs for seating. All concerts are weather permitting with no scheduled rain dates.

• Saturday, Aug. 31: Kevin Doyle’s Roscommon Soles Irish Dance, 4-6 p.m.
