Warren PD: Three arrests, including two for DUI

Monday, July 29

DPW was notified of a tree that had fallen and blocked the entirety of a portion of Touisset Road at 7:00 a.m.

Warren Town Hall reported a fraudulent check at 9:46 a.m.

Police received confirmation of the location of a firearm that was reportedly stolen ay 4:05 p.m.

Police looked for a man at 8:47 p.m. who was apparently operating a dirt bike on Water Street throughout the day, causing loud noise and driving erratically. They didn’t report finding him.

Tuesday, July 30

Police dispersed a vehicle from Burr’s Hill Park at 12:00 a.m.

Police responded to Handy Street at 1:32 a.m. following a report of a man in other peoples’ yards with a flashlight.

Police dispersed someone on Child Street at 8:39 a.m. who was reportedly going through a dumpster on the property.

Children playing loudly near Homestead Avenue and Fifth Street resulting in a call to police at 8:24 p.m. They were advised to quiet down.

Fireworks were reported on Highview Avenue at 9:16 p.m.

Wednesday, July 31

A car accident involving a deer was reported near Main and Maple Streets at 8:38 p.m. No injuries were reported.

A car was dispersed from the Park & Ride on Franklin Street at 10:26 p.m. after being reported as suspicious.

Thursday, Aug. 1

An injured rabbit was reported on Locust Terrace at 5:02 a.m.

Police looked for a man near Metacom and Homestead Avenues at 5:41 a.m. who was reportedly walking around wearing a ski mask. An area search came up negative.

Authorities responded to Tourister at 5:04 p.m. following a report from a caller that they had caught an injured seagull. Since they are a protected species, DEM was called in, who said a rehabilitation facility would be in touch to help the person make arrangements to transport the animal for more care.

Police assisted a Main Street resident at 6:19 p.m. who alleged their child was being harassed.

Kayla A. McDougall, 38, of 27 Ballston Ave., Pawtucket, was arrested following a report of an erratic/aggressive driver near the McDonalds on Metacom Avenue at 8:42 p.m. She was charged with DUI of liquor (BAC unknown, first offense), and refusal to submit to a chemical test. She was arraigned and released later that evening.

Fireworks were reported on Rollingwood Ct. at 9:03 p.m.

Yanelis M. Rivera, 21, of 25 Shattuck St., Apt. #2, Worcester, Mass., was arrested shortly after midnight on Water Street following a vehicle accident involving a curb being struck and two women allegedly attempting to leave the scene. They were charged with DUI of liquor (BAC unknown, first offense), and refusal to submit to a chemical test, and were arraigned and released early the following morning.

Friday, Aug. 2

Loose goats were reported on Birchswamp Road at 7:00 a.m.

A ping from Sirius XM reported a car known to be stolen was tracked to a farm near Birchswamp Road at 7:33 a.m. but nothing was found in the area.

Police were called to mediate an argument between parties involved in a lawnmower repair dispute on Metacom Avenue at 11:35 a.m. They were advised it was a civil matter to be solved between them.

Damage to a vehicle was reported at a Child Street apartment complex at 12:32 p.m.

A caller reported that their vehicle had suffered damage while parked on Main Street at 7:48 p.m.

A caller requested extra patrols on Water Street at 8:06 p.m. after reporting an increase in overly aggressive drivers operating at excessive speeds in the area.

Police dispersed a woman who turned out to be the ex-girlfriend of a resident of Long Lane at 11:03 p.m. after receiving a report that someone was banging loudly on their door.

Saturday, Aug. 3

A resident of Ann Ct. reported at 12:30 a.m. that a bike had been stolen from their home.

A Franklin Street resident called police at 11:34 a.m. requesting help for a bat that had become trapped in the home.

Kyle E. Emond, 48, of 820 Main St., Apt. #1W, Warren, was arrested outside of the Hometown Tavern on Metacom Avenue at 9:43 p.m. following a report that there was a man in the parking lot “punching vehicles.” He was charged with disorderly conduct (misdemeanor), and was released later that evening.

Sunday, Aug. 4

Vandalism of a picnic table was reported at Jamiel’s Park at 1:35 p.m.

Fireworks were reported on Child Street near Tom’s Market at 11:05 p.m. but nothing was reportedly found.

Monday, Aug. 5

One lane of Market Street was reportedly blocked by a fallen tree at 5:07 a.m. The road was re-opened about 40 minutes later.
