Tiverton school superintendet Peter Sanchioni has warned that the district may have to close the Fort Barton School, or lay off dozens of positions, as it navigates a fiscal crisis. Though the town council approved a tentative budget earlier this month, there is no clarity yet on the school's future. That could come next Tuesday when the school board meets to discuss the budget.
