The Bristol Police Department held a promotions and award ceremony, aligning new ranks with a restructuring process for the department that was approved by the Town earlier this year.

Bristol PD now has deputy chief, captains, and a score of newly promoted officers
The Bristol Police Department held a promotion and awards ceremony on Tuesday evening at Mt. Hope High School, giving rise to new administrative positions as part of the department’s reorganization that was approved earlier this year by the Bristol Town Council.
As part of the reorganization, former Major Scott McNally was pinned as the department’s Deputy Chief of Police; former lieutenants Julie Veader, Roman Wozny, and Steven St. Pierre were promoted to the rank of Captain; and former sergeants Ricardo Mourato, Paul Medeiros, Brian Morse, and Michael Vieira were promoted to the rank of Lieutenant.
Promoted to the rank of sergeant included Timothy Gallison, Sean Gonsalves, Barry Carinha, and Alexander Booth. Brandon Correia and Tyler Carreiro were pinned as detectives, and Natalie Stone was promoted to the rank of Chief Clerk.
Awards were also given out by Chief Kevin Lynch, including letters of recognition to Detective Tyler Carreiro, Officer Stefanie Salisbury, Officer Derek Jensen, and Officer Michael Kelly. Portsmouth Police Officer Allison O’Connor was also given a letter of recognition.
Chief Lynch awarded Lifesaving Awards to Sergeant Kyle Batista, Sergeant Alexander Booth, and Officer Rachael Gaffney.
